Another thing is discernment. Delegating your time and energy to where it is both welcome and needed.
Just because you are knowledgeable about a topic doesn't mean it requires your constant input. Thats an area he needs work in.

I have worked for Activision, Electronic Arts, Pandemic Studios, EB Games, and at a coin-op arcade. But I'm not spamming the coli's game forum with garbage posts all day long and chimming in on anything game related.
