I mean I still check for new music though I am lazy to even download music sometimes

Good Kid MAAD City was dope and what not but these days I just listen to music for sheer entertainment value. Up and coming cats like Wale, Cole and a few others are nice on the mic. The cult like fanbase emcees like Wasalu, Joey and $pitta always drop solid music.

But I dont know feels like I've outgrown rap music.

I listen to ignant shyt more than ever just cause these days. Anybody feel me? :leostare:

not really...its some good shyt out there...you just gotta find what you like...but its there. I feel what you say about outgrowing but thats because there are a million rappers now as opposed to years ago when there werent as many so the percentage of quality music was much higher. the percentage is lower now because of sheer volume. by the same token there is probably more quality music by volume now. actually you can make a case for its too much good shyt to listen to and not enough time.

Theres a lot of good music out there, you just have to have the passion to go look for it like you did when you were younger. I remember listening to college radio as a youth and taping the songs i thought were hot, as they were coming on tryin to fit them on a 120 minute tape. I didnt know what was gonna be hot and i only had 1 shot to check out each song. If you dont have a smiliar passion for new artists its not the music, its you.

Its a lot of music out there that these rappers are going in for real for real but when they dont get that "industry" push and end up Milk Carton Status ie: Sha Stimuli and Blu for example.

Comes with Age .. As you get older , the passion in your ear gets lesser.

Sure You still love the art form past, present and future but its just not the same as it used to be due to numerous variables.

exactly...like I am just getting up on Blu recently. I had heard Skyzoo in the past and dude bored me and I discarded him quickly...then I heard some other stuff he was on and then slowly became a fan. Its a lot of stuff out there that some of us havent heard or arent familiar with. Its just a sea of music.
