I'm sure most folks that do most of their posting here migrated from "The Spot" aka "The Booth". That's how I ended up here. Browsed over there and most of the shyt there has me :mindblown: I only recognized a few artist names. Either I've just grown out of it or the music is so horrid that regardless, I just don't give a fukk.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Like what? Mind dropping some names? Aside from the old school cats, nothing new has caught my attention. Kendrick is cool from a skill standpoint, but his album was aight.

I embrace my :old:. Most of this new shyt has no legs. A few songs are catchy but its nothing like the music of the 90's going into the millennia. Most of these acts out now coming out with these BS songs. Would have got laughed off the stage.

I will always love Hip Hop

But I will always hate The Spot/Booth. Nothing but cornballs on that section of the forum

i stopped listening to rap like 5 years ago, and I was one of those dudes whod be waiting up for the new kay slay etc. back in the day, going to rap concerts etc., driving like 2 hrs to see raekwon perform in some dingy club .

I can't even say rap is garbage at the moment because I have no idea of anything rap anymore, I just found out that aubrey graham was a rapper like two years ago, I couldn't tell you anything about that demonic form of music

Yep, been feeling like that since I hit 25 or so. Most of the shyt on my mp3 player is from the 90s and 2000s. I still bump shyt like Reasonable Doubt and Illmatic on the reg. Not saying there's nobody good out now, but I'm just not feeling hiphop as much as I did as a kid. Dunno if it's because it's not as good or because I'm getting older.

Out of that list, I heard Lupe Fiasco (spark when he started, last I heard he's garbage), J-Cole (meh), and Curren$y. Curren$y's coo, I heard his album with Alchemist and I bump it here and there.

Lupe Fiasco to me is a tragedy. Dude was sick with his first 2 albums, after that I didn't even bother to check for dude.
