Anyone else look at the early 2010’s with nostalgia now?

i remember social media being pretty bad by 2010. the waning days of aim/the beginning days of myspace/facebook going open registration were when it started to fall off and i'm from the era just before that so this isn't just nostalgia haha.
I hated when they opened up Facebook. College only was a unique time.

The internet used to be for a select few that knew how to navigate it, like these forums...most people used to think I was off for going on them, and I was the plug for new music. When everyone got on the internet the decline started...clout chasing and corporatism was the nail in the coffin

Early 2010’s were aight. Certainly not a golden era like the 80’s or 90’s.

Pro’s:

- Blog era in rap. Rappers were underground and mainstream at the same time. Being able to entertain the masses while staying true to their core day one fanbase. Lil B, Curren$y and Wiz were in that lane. But blog era rap was trash compared to the 90’s or even 2000’s.

- Four Loko era. That was wild times. Blackout in a can before they change the formula when cac college kids started dying. Back before hard drug use became normalized.

- You didn’t have to wear $10k worth in clothes to be considered fly. You could wear all Polo or all basic mall brands like Aeropostale and American Eagle and be considered fresh. The sneaker game wasn’t gentrified and no one was paying more than $200 for shoes.

- The last of the club/bar days before social media killed it.

Cons:

- Great Recession was in full effect. It was hard to get a $10 an hour job even with a degree

- The culture was too 90’s nostalgia driven. Snapbacks. Foamposites in every color. There isn’t a definitive early 2010’s style aside from ugly ass Lebrons from back then.

- Music was meh compared to the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and even early 2000’s

- weed was still illegal as fukk and you could get caught up with a couple grams or less

Any era is better than this current trash era, but quality and vibe of life has been on a steady decline since Y2K

any music from 09-12 will be nostalgic for me cuz i was locked down and one of those ClearTunes radios was gold in there.
Drake's Thank Me Later , Nicki Minaj blew up on the scene, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga blew up , Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay , Jay Z / Kanye , etc

any music from 2013 will be nostalgic for me cuz that was my freshman year of college. Even the damn EDC music like Zedd - Clarity brings on that feeling , cuz thats what our Cafeteria would play all the time . And that damn Katy Perry - Roar song , and Royals . Damn I miss 2013 so much man
