I miss movie theatres. It's an event that puts proper emphasis on the art form. Im sure directors would agree. people get too comfortable and don't respect the film/art as much at home.

unfortunately people are fukking lazy and will opt to stay home if this lack of theatres becomes the norm.

people actually comparing their tv home theatre sets to 1 story cinema screens:mjlol:

Movies have that ambince and atmosphere that cant be replicated. And plus, that movie popcorn with the hot melted butter is just :ohlawd:

That’s not butter breh, it’s Flavored oil:youngsabo: lol

I love being at the theater but I would usually go under some unusual circumstances:

- see the movie after it has been out a little over a month since everyone saw it already
- go on Monday - Wednesday since most folks go on the weekend
- go in the afternoon or a late showing
- gotta be able to bring in my own food
- make sure I’m at my favorite reserved seat theater
- pick a seat with no one next to me or around me lol

That way I can enjoy the shyt without people talking and being loud. And it never fails but someone is always coughing like crazy in the theater. fukk that, it’s killing my experience. Movie theaters need to include some kinda aux cord so you can throw on some headphones and zone out.

But the way shyt is looking these days, you can spend a few bucks and make the experience work in your favor at home. A good TV/projector can go a long way

Yes, for big summer movies, but my home theater is good enough, especially with the new 77" OLED:banderas:

your stars are but dust on my shoes
I used to love going to the gym from 8-10PM, going to pick up a carne asada burrito after finishing up, and checking to see if there was any intriguing movies being shown. I had a theater pass that let me watch a movie a day for free, so i started being less picky and going as often as I could.

Parking on weeknights was easy, streets and auditoriums generally empty. I'd eat my food while watching the movie, the theater chair being like a godsend after a good workout. Credits roll and I'd be home in 15 minutes.

I was having a lot of fun back then.

The last time I went to the theater was March 2. They showed this documentary for the Noise Pop festival that was going on in the city.

Driving, parking, waiting in line, finding your screening room, dirty seats, overpriced low grade food, shytty quality picture, no bathroom breaks or pausing and you still have to deal with people being loud or talking . This is one business I’m glad COVID bankrupted. Streaming services >
I feel some of this but who buys that high azz low quality food from theatres. U bring ur shyt there if anything. But I kinda miss it.
