There was no DLC because there was no viable method of delivering DLC. It doesn't mean that they gave you 100% of the game.
I personally think that gen is overrated.
7th was better, 4th was better too. This current gen has the potential to be better as well.

Best Nintendo system since the SNES, possibly ever and the best Playstation in one generation. No DLC, no microtransactions, and a healthy wave of two player games. PS2/Gamecube/Xbox era was the best in gaming.

6th gen had the most diversity in terms of games. So many classics and groundbreaking games came out that gen. Companies took more risks imo and we had a lot of those b-tier gems that we don't get too often today.

6th generation was the best we have ever seen in terms of gaming library (especially on the ps2). Dont even get me started with ps2's launch games classic on classic shyt.
