Ive seen grown men get into full blown arguments close to blows over sports. I cant get that emotional about something Im not personally involved in.

I’m into sports since I played them competitively year round as a kid from k-8. Soccer, baseball, and basketball. Parents finally let me play football when I turned 11 so that replaced soccer. In hs only played football. Played two seasons in college. Plus my pops used to box and played basketball. So I’ve always been around it. I can see how if people didn’t really play growing up they wouldn’t be into it as an adult tho

I was into sports as a little kid but after I started messing around with girls sports seemed like the most boring thing on earth

Other than Boxing/Martial Arts which half my family was into so those were kinda unavoidable

It's okay to be honest about it "I like sports but hadn't had the time to keep up with it all, I know some shyt tho. . ." Just tell nikkas what team you rocking with, what players you like and that's basic enough to have a sports buddy to keep a conversation going.
