ghetto tech came from Detroit, the shyt this dudes is doing is similar to freestyle music from the 70's only watered down
and I'm not talking about just the sounds they use, I'm talking about the hooks, the singer, and the structure all of it is the pop sounding shyt
black people was not fukking with until black artist trying to crossover and doing that bullshyt

Oh ok, I see what you're saying now. I agree. There really have been too many artists that have been forcing horrible music out into the world just to try to crossover.

Hip-hop in 2013 is just sad. I've been feeling like black artists are getting phased out of the game too for a while. Pigeonholed, then phased out...it's not a conspiracy. It's business. The number one thing about American culture is that it doesn't give a damn about the past and people don't want to step too far out of their comfort zone. People, in general, are comfortable with what they know and what they can relate to. Not to mention the only "art" it truly appreciates is one that can be replicated to death and milked for every single dime until it's worth absolutely nothing more than a memory.

I can appreciate that sentimental, "music is for everybody" thing...but let's not sugar coat this argument for the sake of being politically correct. Black culture is most appreciated by white america and white society en masse when there are no black people. We are not the majority in America, we do not control the industry, we do not control the media and its images (nor ours), it just is what it is.

I actually found this article online...while the article itself isn't really great (it does have some good points)...it's the comments section that's gold.

This isn't a complaint..this is an observation. And they are two different things.

If one person says someting...ok. Take it or leave it.
If five people say something...umm...they might have something in common.
If ten or more people say that same something...there's something honestly going on here.

I take it y'all saying this are really young. OK. I can absolutely accept that. But this is apart of something larger that has been going on for quite a while and this is fact.
