I can be emotionally cold when I want to or need to be.

It scares me how cold I can be sometimes. I have a gift for shutting down my emotions but only towards people who either lie to me or betray me. Loyalty is a big thing for me you only have to cross me once, and I'll never look at the person the same way again.I don't know if it's from my childhood and growing up without a father, or maybe it's just my nature, who knows, but I have this problem where I can turn cold on people (emotions wise), both men & women and for some reason since I'm friendly and meet new people so often, I disregard the importance of many individuals because I know they're replaceable, which makes my tolerance for BS shorter as well.
Anyone else on here like this, or am I a rare breed![]()
As i age, i have less tolerance for bs. Law school further reduced the # of fukks I am willing to give. I attend church and play with toddlers in order to prevent my soul from icing over completely. :-/

LS is intense. You are overextended and perpetually tired. Eat more fresh fruits and veggies. Take vitamins. Drink less. Don't totally forsake church and dr/shrink appointments and family events and the gym and dating. Maintain yourself. Try to enjoy the school years.Absolute fukking truth. I'm in Law School right now, are you finished? I'm a little concerned that my personality has changed permanently. I've always been socially skilled, I'd argue even exceptionally so, but I'm always so tired now that I could give a fukk about interacting with most people![]()
I've been out for three years now. Not practicing. Using the degree...![]()

Doing what? It took me a year to realize I didn't want to be a lawyer. I have my undergrad in Business, was thinking about taking it in to HR. What else could I do?![]()
. My previous occupation was in Automotive Manufacturing for the big 3. I went back to what I was doing, maybe 6 months after law school. Land scape had changed and they were looking for young talent. So, started working quality and HR on and off. Still doing the same thing but I'm on a different grind now. Can't say too much about it. Going into HR will be funny. You are used to the laws but when dealing with people...hilarity. But you can basically do anything. If you are fresh out, I would say go into politics. Work for a congressman or local politician. Easy money. More importantly, stay in contact with your classmates over time. But getting that degree puts you in a different category than most people. Wear that shyt with honor!
