Anyone else take off from work on their birthday?

The way I saw it up until last year is if I’m off, I’m off, and wouldn’t request it. This year I’m taking my birthday and two days off

No, my birthday falls next to major Holiday in the summer so I typically take my vacation that week.

I always work. I didn’t know it was a thing until ppl would start asking me if I was taking off, or be surprised I was at work. I might work a half day or something, but I do all my celebrating the surrounding wkends when mine falls during the wk.

I usually take my kids on vacation (Florida, Sea World, Disney World etc.) on my bday but switched it up this yr n went to wrk and waited 3 weeks and took them somewhere on my wife’s bday...never again!
