I used to think so, but I believe Bruce Timm denied that. DCAU Luthor was based, IIRC, off Telly Savalas - who was Greek.

Yeah, but I've read that he was supposed to be Greek. In some shots, Superman looks light-skinned as well. They wanted characters to appear racially ambiguous.

DC has had so many fukkups in their media I couldnt care less except for what they doing with the current Black Batman. They shouldve kept the Timmverse animater Luthor and made him black/ethnic. That swag was on point
