They didn't want to invest into the everyday talent..that's why it's so funny. They build up Owens for the first PPV but then got iffy and gave him the IC title as a consolation. Stupid.

According to some wrestling sites that still follow his Twitter feed, he's STILL angrily responding to trolls who heckle him about leaving the WWE.
This tweet was several months after he left the WWE. And almost a year later he's still complaining about random trolls trying to elicit a response from him. He has the thinnest skin that I've ever see.
