anyway...how is this better than just hailing down a cab?

who the fukk comes to pick you up though? is it tied to a towncar service or can any random dude pick you up? (pause)

basically you can start your own uber service if you had the cars

i know a couple drivers by first name its usually not a random person

It's a towncar or an suv, more stylish then a taxi, more refined drivers usually, taxi drivers can vary from cool to unhinged, and it comes within 15 minutes or so, as opposed to cabs who rarely will give you the wait time. I'd rather just grab a cab most of the time, but I can see the upside, cuz sometimes I'm out on the street looking crazy trying to find a cab.

yea i use it for goin downtown,dates,leaning too hard to make it home or if im running late for some shyt....i think its starting to get known now last driver said his boss had like 10 cars running on the average day

When I was in SF earlier this year I met a driver that lives in Stockton but drives in SF to Uber. Uber and Lyft are pretty competitive in the Bay Area.

Drives from stockton to San Fran once a week to work 16 hour days for Uber... Apparently shes making up to $50 an hour during rush hour.. but she never said what shes averaging for the week
