had to pay them back..and i had already spent the money so it was a bytch

then its automatic audit for the next 7 years..if u use a dependent

They give u time to show proof the child lived with u during that period.
Medical records with your address on it,school records etc

i used 1 kid the first year and another kid 3 times in a row..knew his moms

still got audited

and ask yourself this...who u think claimed the same child OP asking bout last year?and the year before?

I usually put down step son/daughter when I'm claiming other ppls kids. Since its just you and ya girl in the equation u have nothing to worry about.

I might just tell her forget it. He lived with me for 7 months. But like I said hes a nonrelative. I can prove he lived with me but I cant prove that he's my son bc he isnt

What im saying is during the year when shes about to pay her rent go get the rent money from her but pay the rent with your bank card so if you decide to claim him again next year youll have "proof" that you provided for the child.
