Unfortunately I've been on unemployment a couple of times. shyt is humiliating if you ask me. It's amazing how the government can dictate what that deem as "acceptable." On top of all the silly shyt you have to do to keep it and all the politics involved. The best thing I can suggest is.... Take the first job offered.

in the US, you have to be a full time employee and laid off to get unemployment, iirc.
And tho its better than nothing, its not a really bad position to be in.
