Anyone ever converted religions for a woman

A girl i've been seeing basically laid it out to me that she loves the time we spend and everything is cool except the fact "i dont have a relationship with God"

I told her i went as a youngin, but when i left home i just dont go how i used to. I pray every now and then but im not one to use Jesus in every sentence. Im not a heathen i just dont be going to church like that.

Brehs idk what to do. This woman checks off every box i have, its just this religion thing she hit me with today. At this point im ready to take my chances, try to get back in the church just to keep it moving fwd, but idk

I’ve been in that situation… I can’t speak for your girl but my ex basically tried to force it down my throat and I ended up hating her for it. We constantly clashed over it and she would not let it go to the point where she threatened to break up wit me 5-6 times throughout the relationship. I broke it off and she lost her fukking mind… I will never date another church girl. I believe in God and pray regularly but because of her I completely turned away from it for 3 years.

If you wanna go back to church do it because you want to, not because you’re being forced.

You sound just like me. Do what you feel is right for you fam. I wasted 2 1/2 years on a sinking ship because I ain’t know any better. And don’t get me started on her parents who were both preachers always on her back about me… I did my best to take care of her and it was never enough. She was real live tryna make me adhere to her parent’s lifestyle like I gave af about them. I actually knew shyt wasn’t gonna work out for other reasons a month after moving in together but I was stuck and ain’t know how to get out.

It can work but it won’t be easy and there will always be a bit of tension.
