Anyone ever converted religions for a woman

A girl i've been seeing basically laid it out to me that she loves the time we spend and everything is cool except the fact "i dont have a relationship with God"

I told her i went as a youngin, but when i left home i just dont go how i used to. I pray every now and then but im not one to use Jesus in every sentence. Im not a heathen i just dont be going to church like that.

Brehs idk what to do. This woman checks off every box i have, its just this religion thing she hit me with today. At this point im ready to take my chances, try to get back in the church just to keep it moving fwd, but idk

I mean if you like her that much I say give it a try. If it doesn't work for you after giving it a try keep it real with her though.

Thats the thing, and maybe im not being clear out here. I go, just not every sunday. I pray and read the bible every now and then. She was telling me how she reads her bible in the morning and evening, and eventually wants to discuss sermons and scriptures with her spouse.

I have nothing wrong going to church with my woman but i told her im not gon lie i dont be reading it every morning and night. Just keeping it a buck. I think alot of black people fall in this category. You went heavy as a kid, now as an adult you fell back on the frequency.

I was tryna explain to her just bc a nikka goes to church every sunday and reads every day doesnt mean he wont cheat, do stupid shyt to his wife etc. Why not judge someone based off their merits? It is what it is though its just a damn shame

Dude I know converted to Islam to marry some middle eastern chick. Changed his name and everything. Didn’t last long tho and he got a whole other family now. It was a very weird period cuz dude was always a ladies man. Made no sense for him of all people to go that far for this average broad.

Respecting someone’s religious lifestyle is as far as I would go.

Converting for a relationship seems like a bad idea. Your connection seems only as strong as it is with the person, and not the tenets of the faith.
