anyone ever flown spirit airlines?

Southwest is garbage, narrow aisles, no TV, no snacks, everyone is bunched together, snd the last time i flew there air conditioner fukked up in the middle of Summer

It's one of my favorite airlines The planes are spacious to me, and my flights have always been comfortable. I also tend to get really good deals on flights with them. AND I Iike having those 2 free checked bags

i flew with them once from NYC to Miami. My flight ended up getting cancelled for some reason , and they dont
have a contract with other airlines so they cant switch your flight. Best they could do for me was putting me on a waiting list
for the next available spirit flight. No compensation at all.

I fly with spirit all the time. I fly back to my home town all the time. I bring a Nike duffle bag where it can fit everything in it and it can be compacted to fit in that container. So I never pay for luggage. They did try to test my bag a few times but I just pushed it in the box and they left it like that. Usually they don't check. The first few times I paid for my bag in advance and they never checked it so I stopped.

I like the prices a lot so I deal with it. Usually not a big deal. The flight I take is a 1.5 hr flight so I just eat before I board or after. And just peep an album or book while on the flight.

Last flight I flew was the beginning of October for like 102 round trip. Gonna be taking some trips to NYC this coming year for some boxing matches at barclays. Tickets be cheap I can't complain. That difference in price I use that money to enjoy on my trips.

They will nickel and dime you but if you research all the fees you can outdo them easy. It's all on the site. Never had to pay to print out a pass at the kiosk. That's free.

Their dumbass pilots almost collided with another airplane years back.

Don't fly Allegiant either. Their known for using second hand parts to replace broken parts on their planes.

It’s cheaper but for a lot of routes it ain’t THAT much cheaper and paying for a real carry on both ways makes its less cheap.

I’d have to be saving AT LEAST 200 after bag fees on the RT and be in a situation where I needed that $200.

You might save money in the long run but you gotta deal with potential cancelled flights, delayed flights, terrible leg room and single mothers with 4 bad ass kids kicking your seat

People here dont know how to play Spirits silly games. You dont have to pay for a carry on if you buy this bag from Walmart that fits their free item dimensions perfectly

That little guy actually has a ton of space believe it or not. Look at the youtube reviews. From there we usually check one bag for souvenirs etc. Flew on spirit to Vegas, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico all without a single hiccup except a 1 hour delay on our trip back from Costa Rica because they had to change planes. Buy a portable luggage scale for your check on so you know exactly how much weight you are walking in with and they wont say shyt since youll be within their check on weight limits. As far as the seats go if you are tall or fat then Spirit aint for you. Im only 5'8 and the wife is 5' even so we are on the smaller side and dont really have issues with space on their planes.

We usually buy all our snacks at the gate so we dont have to pay Spirits stupidly overpriced items either.

Spirit is trash but thanks to Legg v Spirit airlines suing them b/c one of their kiosks produced too many numbers of their credit card # on the receipts, Im about to get paid between $275-1k in a settlement ..........so they aint that WOAT

Flying into LaGuardia (NYC) on Spirit is probably the most hellish experience one can go through on an airline. Literally only crashing is worse.

It's the kind of mistake you only make once.

I had 1300$ in chase reward points. So I used them to book a flight, room , and whip

I even splurged for the big seats
