I don't really drink so I'll probably just get one drink and some food

And I'm pretty sure a random single women will spark up some conversation because I have been to this bar before and it seems like a lot of women go by their selves

Going to a bar alone in a new city is raw. I had a ball in Denver at some bars. Now if u go to a bar alone in Milwaukee...... wait, that's a lit place too....may run into some strange .

When i hit up a bar by myself it’s usually at some neighborhood spot rather than a spot in the city unless if I’m meeting someone.

I have before but I usually know the people working in the bar so it’s different. Once, I was taught a tactic to attract attention at a bar where no one knows you; bring a book and read while you drink alone. Someone will more than likely strike up conversation. Basically, any “single player” activities you can do will attract attention. Like playing solitaire, sudoku, etc. But don’t fukk with your phone. That shows disinterest in the world around you rather than engagement with the real world
