Anyone ever help a friend get off drugs?

My close friend fell into the trap of perc 30s and I am trying to help him. You can't help anyone that can't help themselves but he wants the help he just keeps fukking up. Anyone been in this situation? I feel helpless but he's not a total waste so I wanna help him. He still has a job but nothing matters if he doesn't get clean.

i went in verbally hard on my homeslice (nickname melle mel) one day when i saw him slipping. told him to man the flip up and get off of that chit with a quickness before it takes him down. reminded him how hard his parents worked to raise him and his siblings. his pop was a veteran with a purple heart and used to give me ism on life and maturity ditto with his mom. he straightened out and told me several times he felt what i said to him. still friends today even though i moved way down south.

it's hard, the person has to really know and feel down deep that you care about them. just say what you have to say with sincerity and let it roll. me, dude and another partna used to run dem east coast streets hard and pull plenty of chicks.

How do you have a job or a life strung out and shyt? I am amazed he still has his job even tho it's not like a great job.

either people wanna get help, or they don't..
