I cut my own in college sot save money. But it's something about going to the shop on a weekend and getting a fresh cut. It's about the conversation, the relaxation, the news on the block, going to the corner store right after for some food. It's nothing like the ambience of the barbershop
There's 50 nikkas in a hot ass barbershop with a non stop buzzing sound. Ain't nothing relaxing about that shyt

Smelling like a football lockerroom

My friend is a barber and he does ok... He pulls in maybe 600 a week which isn't bad considering he's not some super in demand guy, he has some regular custos that rock with him. He also has a regular full time job, he cuts grass and works on cars. He isn't hurting for anything and he could probably make more if he dedicated all of his time to cutting hair.

I wouldn't do it though because I don't like service jobs. If that's what you want to do just go to a shop and tell the owner you will pay extra booth rent because you're not licensed and most of them will let you live for a lil while if you know how to cut. If you start getting some guap, go get those l's and make it a career.

I get cut my an old head, he ain't having that. There's always either some old hip hop or jazz playing. And dudes in there always have stimulating conversation, and occasional bullshyt :lolbron:
I stopped going to the dope front barbershops when dudes came in and laid everyone down. Getting robbed is not part of my haircut experience

I prefer older barbers too. Not because the fear of being robbed but because their convos are more than just shyt talking and can actually benefit you.
