Anyone ever wonder how trends get started/old things come back around?

Everything works in cycles and comes back around, I just wonder how it happens. If Philly its like the same clothing stores that are owned by same people. I saw bunch of high school kids wearing dashiki's today. Just makes you wonder how shyt comes back around, most people just follow the leader but someone somewhere initially brings stuff back. Dashiki is just one example, just saying overall this shyt starts somewhere then spreads.

Dashikis came back because people are being more Afrocentric and pro-black because of the shyts that's been going on...

People are rocking Puma Clydes because the Get Down is set in 70's South Bronx during the inception of hip hop. That shyt doing numbers on Netflix and now people's buying the shoe.

this always happens, especially in fashion.

someone will bring back an obscure fashion item from the past, it blows up, and becomes the new trend for kids that we'rent around for that era..

look at snapbacks in 08, or camp caps in 10, or dad hats now.

i been saying early 2000's fashion is probably gonna comeback once kids get tired of rehashing everything from the 90's

I saw Chris Brown rocking the plaid shirt with the top buttoned(90's Westcoast-style) on 106th and park back in 2007. The next week I bought a plaid westcoast shirt and wore it to school that week. They called me Debo for the rest of the year. But I was ahead of the game, because that style became popular within the next couple yrs when the 90's made a comeback.

I watched an interesting documentary a couple years ago. People who work for clothing corporations would go to high schools and sought out unique students who dressed different from everyone else and copy it.

A lot of fashion also trickles down from England. Scoop necks and other things were big years before they became mainstream in the US. Remember my freshman year of high school (2008) only kid wearing scoop neck t shirts and boat shoes. Now every nikka rocking them shyt! :damn:
