Going from Super Mario 1 to Mario WOrld to 64 was like night and day for the boy

I thought you meant real mario game that wasnt a play or a dream anyway SMG1 wasn't anymore challenging than sunshine or 64.

64 was the first 3D Mario where coins were your health and not mushrooms or power ups, no flag poles, can't breath forever underwater and mission based levels. Sunshine had the fludd mechanic so I dunno watchu talkin about unique.

I just found out that you can make the shortcut in 3-1 with any character, not just Luigi and the Princess.
