Small form factor, no real reason to buy something less upgradable and more limited by heat.

it's only worth if you need something really small. one big issue with it is you can't upgrade the GPU (graphics card)

the best and cheapest thing is to build something yourself. otherwise there's plenty of pre-built computers out there, some of them so-called "steam machines", that do allow you to upgrade everything

that all being said, the Alienware does have a good price, and from what I've read, most people are pretty happy with it. it might not kick ass in modern AAA games, but it's still fine for 1000's of older/lower-spec games in the Steam library. I think it's a good option for those that already own a ps4 and/or xbone

that one's pretty cool. you can at least upgrade everything in it. they have three models:

i3, 4bg, gtx 750 - $500
i5, 8gb, gtx 960 - $730
i7(K), 16gb, gtx 980 - $1420

the interior looks kinda like the original Valve Steam Machine prototype

you won't be maxing out The Witcher 3, but it should be good for most games. by "good" I mean 1080p, 60fps, and more-or-less maxed out

What daze said. Although I'd like to point out a non-maxed out "Witcher 3" with a GTX960 still shyts all over the console versions, graphics and performance-wise.
