I live in the United States
Thinking of getting one of these next week, person reckons it will come with all snes and megadrive/genesis games and I can have all game boy, nes and master system games as well.

But I'm more thinking of the old arcade games from the early nineties, the classics.

Anyone got one?

How often do you use it?

Do the games work well?

Well sir, you can also do all of that with a nintendo Wii and store all the games on a SD card.
On Wii its called SDL Mame (arcade emulator)
Then from the homebrew channel browser, you can download emulators for every system.
Then eventually you'll have every game on NINTENDO, SEGA, NEO-GEO/etc.
And the weird part is each game is only a few kb's. So every nintendo game ever made ends up only being a few MB :hula:
That seems like the easier way imo, but if you wanna go the xbox route?
Go to...
Welcome to XBOXISO.COM (wiiso.com for wii stuff)
And you can find all the files you are looking for :shake:

The thing is I need it to come built, I don't know how easy it is to mod one yourself, but I ain't got the time to do it really.

So buying a modded Xbox full of games for 30 quid is perfect for me at the moment.

I've got a modded XBOX sitting in my garage...250G HD in it...

It was great when I was using it...but it's a pain to transfer new games to it (if you don't have them on a disc), and there are other ways to emu older systems that are easier (WII, PC)...

So it's just sitting...

Can you just burn them on a cd-r / DVD-r and transfer them via the disc drive?

Firstly, £30 for a pre-modded Xbox1 is an alright price but it depends on the set up, to a degree.

40gb will not be enough if you want it all on there. CoinOps4 full install hovers around the 40gb size, so if you want to throw some PSX on there too then you've got no chance.

I had an original xbox laying around that I used to use for XBMC before I bought a dedicated machine for XBMC. A couple of months ago I threw CoinOps4 Full + N64 rom packs on the 250gb HD etc etc and sold it for £80.

In this day and age I'd say there's better options out there for emulation on your TV. Like you've been told: Wii, PC, etc.

I have a 160 gig og Xbox with all the emulators on it. I have round 700+ snes and 700+ sega genesis games on it. There's no sound on the genesis games though for some reason :snoop:

-I love the thing but I rarely, rarely ever play it
