Anyone has a racing rig/setup?

in the market for a monitor as I want a racing gaming rig (far less complicated than the one below)…just with a wheel, pedals and monitor tho

been flirting with getting one for years but never followed thru…finally got “serious” about it this week

it’s not gonna look anything like this even tho I’ve done enough research that I can now identify almost everything in that picture (item, brand, price, etc.)

none of the items I ordered are pictured but…

for the wheel/base/pedals I ordered the thrustmaster TS-XW

for the shifter I got the thrustmaster TH8A

I bought a cheap wheel stand for now—next level racing wheel stand lite (do not get it from amazon)

I don’t want to commit to a full rig yet until I can quickly test the wheel out to see if I like it…if I end up enjoying the experience then the next step will be to order the rig…

…I could get it now but it’d be a lot of trouble/extra money to set that shyt up just to find out I don’t like it…it’d be easier to return the wheel and the cheaper/smaller wheel stand if I have a change of heart

anyway…the thread that was posted in was about monitors so I didn’t want to keep talking about this shyt in that thread…curious if any of y’all fukk with racing wheels or even have a whole rig/setup

so the thrustmaster TS-XW is delayed/backordered and there’s no place else to get it at retail so I just gotta wait til they can ship it…ordered a starter kit wheel with no force feedback (thrustmaster ferrari 458 spider) to hold me down in the meantime

if GT7 receives raves reviews and I find myself enjoying these racing accessories then I’ll be looking at one of the following wheels—logitech G29/G923 or thrustmaster T248

i actually have a cronus max + and it was confusing the hell out of me. i dont want to use that plus another adapter for PS1 plugs.

i wish they would make a new native PS4/5 controller

cool…you don’t need a big, fancy rig off the bat…seems like the most important thing is to get a decent entry wheel that has force feedback (the lowest I seen are about $250–logitech G29 for PS or thrustmaster TMX for xbox) and an inexpensive but sturdy stand…some of these stands have accessories/add-ons that let you expand them into big rigs if you want to add a racing seat, TV stand, etc.

copped this along with a shifter on sale…it was too good to pass up…and these wheels are hard to come by when they go out of stock…gonna use it for GT sport…copped the extreme sim racing wheel stand S pro…birthday coming up so I always OD on the spending this time of year

I have a quest that I don't use…had a PSVR and sold it last year on ebay…VR still isn’t for me yet…still mostly gimmicky imo…it’s fun in spurts…but just by design, it doesn’t provide me with a full gaming experience
