They didn't necessarily become my subordinate however they started having to report to me for certain things.
At my job there are supervisors (they make break schedules, monitor the agents, answer any questions, etc) and then there are account leads who handle calls, emails, and any issues that our clients may be having.
I'm an account lead so sometimes a supervisor has to report to me if they need something done when connecting with a client. I had some sour looks when I was promoted to this position but no one has got out of line (not yet At least). And I give the supervisors the same respect as I did before.
