I was talking about this in the random thoughts thread, basically I got into it with my supervisor because I didn't feel good and wanted to go to lunch, he told me to work another flight unless I felt it were a safety risk and then kind of tried me and it resulted in me walking off and taking lunch and disregarding my duties.

Whenever I'm at work and I get upset, mainly because of my team captains and their everlasting conquest to emasculate me, I make mistakes which results in me in the supervisors office.

I'm a good worker, and intelligent and really likeable but when I get angry that all goes out of the window and I can't stop bad things from happening (not no physical violence though).

Do any of y'all have this kind of problem? If so how do you deal with it?

Asking another man if you can eat your own food that you pay for :damedame:

Working for another man period :damedame:

But nah i've never had that problem. I got anger issues but i get real focused when i get angry so i just crush anything i do. Give me any task while im mad ill finish that shyt in half the time it would normally take.

Try counting and just thinking yourself out of that angry space. Remind yourself you came to work.

If that doesn't work you might need to find another job. Sounds like you're not really built for that type of environment if you let anger effect your performance like that. Don't be an emotional female breh

I'll take note on counting backwards and such thanks.

Im more than built for it. Its just that people try me often and try to exert force upon me and such and after a while it wears me down, constantly trying to get me to submit and domesticate me its weird but that's how I feel. But OK thanks.

I work with kids and could have lost my job b/c of my anger. A parent was in the room and I was doing suspensions. Her child got suspended. So she was waiting on the suspension but I didn't know it. A kid in there kept giving me fake names. 1 name he gave was a girl names. I lost it. I told him "Unless you're a phaggot, this is not your name". He saw how serious I was and told me his real name.

The mother of the girl then told the assistant principal what I said. I didn't get in trouble (we got unions so it's hard to fire) but I did apologize. I was still yelling at kids but for the past 3 days at work, I've been controlling my anger. It's hard b/c some kids don't listen unless you're mean or going Chris Farley.

You have to learn how to control it breh :yeshrug:

It's difficult but at work you can't let your emotions get the best of you. EQ (emotional intelligence) is one of the main reason someone is hired or fired these days. I don't know what you do for work but if you have to interact with people and you know they upset you, keep it "hi" and "bye" and only work related. If you can avoid them and do your job, just do your job.

I learned a long time ago that if you're black (assumption) you already have strikes against you. When I was first getting into management I was helped less, looked down upon by our VP, ignored, etc. At first I was :dahell: and :mjcry: but I read a book about emotional intelligence and learned to tuck those feelings in at work. At work I'm about my money, I can't let anyone else infiltrate my mind and cost me money.
