If you're at a good spot, you can make a few hundred under the table on a busy night. At those places, you don't need to know how to make drinks, they're looking for someone with the right look and personality. Most people don't order anything complicated anyway.

The people I knew at bars just laughed when someone that went to one of those ripoff bartending schools tried to apply for a bartending job. Acting all hard and using a jigger and bragging that they know how to make a godmother or grasshopper or some other bullshyt that no one was ever going to order.

Yeah for the most part, you aint making anything too complicated at all...

Also depends on the spot....regular bar, esp one with a great beer selection, has a beer drinking clientele so you pouring beers, making jack n coke, rum n coke and the occasional martini for a female...those spots you make bank and are moving alot but aint killing yourself with making those stupid drinks.

Some spots that have alot of females that think they in Sex in the City will have you making Cosmopolitans, Mojitos and all kinds of pain in the ass drinks...sometimes you get an ollllllllllld head ordering something you never heard of and have you like only to find out its called by another name and old head still calling it by its 1950 name

at the hood bars no one orders that shyt but when I go downtown they do be ordering them crazy ass drink

and they have different names for the same drinks that have just one or 2 ingredients different

yeah hood bars, you crackin open heinekens and coronas and pouring some henny...nothing too crazy

some of the clubs Ive been at tho....these bytches think they fancy

It looks like a fun profession to be in honestly, plus i'm a weekend alcoholic so shyt would work out good for me if I ever lost my current job.

One of the dudes I know was a bartender for around 3 years and quit.

My boy used to bartend at a small local spot in san jose. Motherfukker thought shyt was fun at first. But nikka seriously got annoyed by the shyt because the same people would be there all the time. Same motherfukkers started shyt. Got tired of listening to simps and damaged bytches whining bout shyt. I remember one time I was chillin with dude coppin some free drinks while he was working and he pulled out three glasses and told me "watch this mexican bytch coming in". This broad would sit down and ask for a drink and be like "I'm just having one drink and gottah head out". So middle aged dusty latina sipped on her shyt and was all ready to go and shyt saying bye and leaving her tip. This broad walked 10 feet away and came right back like "I'm gonnah have just one more before I go!". Had that one and was ready to dip and boom motherfukker turned around for the 3rd. Anyway that shyt was like to me I said "damn breh you on some psychic shyt!". Dude looked me like " fukk this job and these miserable ass people".

Anyway that's just some local neighborhood bar spot, I'm pretty sure shyt is more fun bar-tending at a club that's poppin.

I've been on the bouncing end of things for about 6 years and see the cash bartenders bring in. My brother bartends at a club, Friday night they have Snoop Lion doing his after party there. He'll make BANK.
