Somerset is basically a giant suburb. But you are relatively close to the shore, and you can head south or north if you wanna turn up.

Born and raised. Its cool... New Brunswick is right there with a decent downtown. Not much social going on in Somerset and Franklin, in particular tho. Theres a couple decent bars/ happy hour spots tho.

Somerset is cool. There are knuckleheads out there In the area closer to New Brunswick but all in all its chill. It's a burb. If you want a cool place to live its aight.

Idk I lived there for two years before movin away cuz frankly it's pointless to pay so much when u spend most of the time in the city. But for a dude that potentially might not have gotten to experience living "in the city" it's not a bad alternative. On the heights u can find a decent 1 bedroom for like 1200/1300

Are you talking about the Hospital in Somerville on Rehil Ave? I used to work in that area and Somerset was pretty chill. Pretty diverse and very middle class. It definitely didn't strike me as unsafe.
