when you are at the touristy touristy places sometimes they have you pay for a ticket for the camera, just a few dollars.

I didn't walk around the general areas with my camera, but just like anywhere if you are gonna film something specific just make sure you have permission from the person you're filming. they will likely want a tip after getting permission

Or on arrival?

visa on arrival is easier. any small mistake and they reject your visa and you have to pay $25 again and apply, but they want the visa on arrival to be paid in USD

I have a buddy there I highly recommend for tours in cairo area dm if interested


In any arab country filiming at times can be an issue being honest


I had a great time when i was there would go back preferably this time not in summer lol

The hustle is real in Cairo. Just know nothing is free and alot of times they don’t specify prices up front so you can get got. Its kinda like places in China where you have to haggle everything.

Also its Ramadan right now even though Eid is coming up.
