Which section you live in ?Wasn't raised here, but staying with family in co op now., lived here in the past..
Nice place, but I don't like the area. Takes forever to travel by public transportation, not one single decent eatery -- and most close way too early (got to take a bus to a diner in a lil while), it's basically not a normal NYC neighborhood. Lots of very old people.
Though I like the consistency of calm for a Bronx area. Bay Plaza is great , and Orchard Beach is very close.
I have a lot of complaints about this place, but I've only had one issue with drama (don't know how tough these people are, I mean it's Co op, but it's still Bronx nikkas). Generally people are real cool, lot of hard working, nice people, and police patrol well (one of the safest places in the Bronx, with very few stories of police aggression). It's what I need right now, and I'd be homeless if it weren't for my family so yeah, I'm here for a bit, so I'm grateful and just try not to spend too much time here unless I'm home.
How'd you resolve the conflict with The Valley, long enough to go against the others? It's the largest house cooperative housing development in the world , having a population of 50,000 people & was predominantly black so the probablity of some from co-op being a member on here could be likely. Growing up there was a fun experience . Even though it wasn't the projects , it accepted section 8 so it just felt like a more glorified project with balconeys . My section of co-op section 5 used to beef with the Valley faithfully as teens shyt did tend to hectic though but we always assembled as a team when conflict came .
How old are you ? You remember Lite from secor when he shot that other cat in the train station on Dyre ave back in the Summer or 07 ? Son got hit with 30 years but that incident was circulating around uptown for years .I lived on a block between secor and co-op during middle school/through high school
it's coolonly went to co-op to kick it with my nikkas and fukk broads
they did have a old sneaker spot that I used raid the stock room for old kicks
but I barely wear nikes and j's now so
I move smoothly can't say the same for enough nikkas I grew up with jumped/thrown on the 5line tracks/stabbed/shot/locked etc.
funny thing is shyt always seems so peaceful for me
all the while I'm getting stories of dumb shyt poppin off from all over
dummies shoulda been coolin like me but
life goes on

If its after building 7 then youre in sec 2I think it's considered section 2. block away from Dreiser Loop.
I can see matthattan from my window , depending on which floor/side of the building you reside at you can damn near see almost every building in NYC and deeperDo you get a good view of the city from the higher floors?

nikkas was extra' out for nothing It is , but Co-op isn't the projects even though it might as well be classified as one lolthought QB was the largest housing project
