:laff::laff::picard:whutttt?? I can cook the basics.. :hhh: what made you say that? I'm saying that crock pots slow cook the meat- beef, chicken and lets all the seasoning and flavor marinate throughout the meat as you cook it, and you can cook beans in there (pinto or black beans). Then add some potatoes and other vegetables and it's an instant quick meal - stew or soup. I'm not saying put a tbone steak or hamburgers in there- I have the foreman grill for that. You're not going to bake a salmon or tilapia in there bc it will be too mushy- but basic meat and potatoes, you can use the crock pot.
So u don't use pots and pans to cook?..who taught u?..sound like some grown up easy bake oven shyt u not from the South are you?

I love it so far. Just like with a crock pot for certain things you have to do prep work. I like the instant pot because you can do almost everything in the same pot like sauté or brown meats first then slow/ pressure cook. It has setting for pressure cook, rice, slow cook etc.

My favorite thing to cook in there are red beans so far. Anything that usually takes hours or a day reduced to 30-to an hour is convenient. Somethings I don’t use it for, but I do the same for a crock pot. Somethings I want just to make on the stove or in the oven.

I love mine. On a Sunday if I'm home then I don't mind letting shyt cook normally. I don't have time for that shyt on a weekday though. Plus I'm single so it's not like I have to impress anybody. And if I wasn't, well it's not like most chicks out here can cook anyway. It's not like they're going to know the difference.

fukkkkkkkkk...:picard: No, I'm not from the south- NY baabbbyy :blessed:. I taught myself how to cook by watching those food shows and going online to try out different recipes. I've been cooking since I was 8 and yes, I had an easy bake oven , those mini-cakes with frosting were bommmbb... but I was fixing cereal too, stuff that 8 yr olds can do. What's wrong with using grills, griddles, and crock pots - those are advancements in cooking technology. Those are pots and pans right?? I make pancakes on my electric griddle, eggs, breakfast stuff. I cant cook rice in regular pan bc it always comes out hard or too sticky so the rice cooker is a good solution. You can use a crock pot for almost everything- i have different types of crock pots and sizes. You can make oatmeal, hot cereal in there. And I made cakes and brownies in there a few times, just to try it- it came out fine. I cook spaghetti with pots and pans. I cook cupcakes and things like that in the regular oven of course. I NEVER cook with the microwave tho- i hate those things.

Besides that, there's like 20+ places in my area where I can get all types of ethnic food and different varieties of stuff that would taste better than cooking it myself, what's the point??especially if I have other things to take care of. I dont even like straight up like american food that much anyway, so it's not like I'm at ruby tuesdays or fridays every day. the only true fast food spot that I go to is chick fil-a, steak and shake, or Cookout when i'm back and forth between where I'm at now and NY.

Crock Pots are the wave imo- set it and forget it. Just season the meat and let it cook while you sleep or whatever. By the time you wake up, the food is done. Also Rice
Cookers are good too. Then get some Ziploc storage containers and all you have to do is re-heat the food when you get home. Don't reheat in the microwave- it takes away the flavor and tenderness of the meat.
Walking into the crib after you have sum ribs or a roast cooking all day have the crib smellin extra good damn near makes a breh :shaq: real talk

Everything my wife has made out that damn pot was ON POINT:win:

Even made sweet tea:damn:
Aight breh you gotta break down this alchemy:feedme:
