How do those of you who have it cope or block it out!
I have it in my left ear.
I've had it for years so it's pretty easy to block out most of the time. I pretty much only hear it when I'm in a completely silent room.
Try having a fan or a tv on to drown it out.
Yeah...it's only a problem when I'm in a quiet place then it drives me crazy.
I got it from working on a flightline even though I always wore hearing protection sometimes double.
its a constant ringing or drilling sound. I got it recently from listening to loud music
It's a bytch.

Is it a ringing? Mine in the beginning was a ringing sound now it sounds kind of like an engine
It's been annoying me alot but I only have it for a few weeks
Is it true after awhile you just kinda get used to it?
And do u guys wear earplugs in places like bars or concerts?
Got it from the military. For me it some times starts a low ringing sound that escalates to a louder ringing noise.
Yeah you get used to it, I've had it for about 6 years.
I got mine a few years ago. I broke my big toe and got addicted to OxyContin.
I started getting a stinging sensation in my upper back after I popped a pill.
Then, one night, I took one and instantly thought I was hearing a strange sound.
I walked around the entire place trying to find the source.
I finally got back to where I popped the oxy and suddenly realized that the sound was coming from my ears.
That was the last time u took that shyt. The doctor said that surgery would almost assure me loosing hearing in at least one ear. Just told me to deal with it.
I think i have it from playing guitar at shows and other shyt through out my youth. I always have sound though so i dont notice it
Do you guys still drink and go to bars/pubs? If so do you wear plugs when you go to bars/pubs and does the alcohol effect your tinitus at all?
