Its really been in like the past 10-15 years...hell id even say going back to like 1997/1998.
But its always been popping like that in the NYC/NJ/PA area....just more diverse skate scenes and more black spanish and asian kids in the mix.

yeah i feel like black people getting into skating caught on faster on the east coast than it did on the west coast due to street skating and the style difference compared to the best, the culture etc
