Let's say you been managing them for a while...

How do you determine how much you personally get paid? Contractually? Word of mouth? Is it a percentage? How do you set up shows for your artist? What's the process you personally go through?

You have to have water tight contracts that are clear about everything in advance. Then in the case of dispute can go the legal route if the other party breaks it.

Depends what type of manager and person you are also, there's a street route too, but when major money is involved on both sides that's too problematic and risky, contracts are the best thing.

Also transparency and communication so everybody is very clear on what the agreement is, what will happen if it's broken also....

As a manager I'd imagine managing their career you're paid a percentage of any income given through the rapper

Probably set up up and coming shows with Bars Clubs etc and do Pay For Plays until you get a following if youre an up and comer establish rappers managers get shyt setup appointment stuff probably while their line gets hit with people wanting to book shows events or appearances

I'd imagine just like Wack to Game you'd follow your artist and supervise 24/7 on some confidant/consigliere shyt because he's your investment and you want to see him grow successful and get you money

managers handle artists, period.

you help mold their next 24 months, and help make decisions on what markets to focus on, music releases, sponsorships, every little detail if you're a good manager.

set goals, and help attain those goals. you'd most likely get 10% of all income related to the artist's earnings.

booking agents handle the shows, contracts and negotiations. managers will need to proof these before they get issued to promoters/purchasers.

tour managers are on tour with the artists and deal with day to day tour life, depending on what tour you could be essentially babysitting some a$$holes. you keep them motivated and sticking to schedule, as well you're collecting the balance at the show in most cases.

a good manager will stick up for their artist and ask the questions nobody wants to ask, and get the most for them as they deserve.

No I didn't fool, clearly you can't read or even speak properly. Anyway no need to disrupt the thread with your idiocy so can leave it there.

don't ask people on the coli none of them know

managers get from 15 to 20%. usually being 15 of anything they make unless they're really big you'd then get 20.

you set shows up via promoters, rappers usually start with clubs, so club promoters owners. or you could do an independent tour whereby you hire the venue pay the venue and keep the proceeds.

well this is a blatant lie, no manager gets 10% in entertainment. the least is 15%

15% is the industry standard...but most managerial situations are informal at best i.e (handshake..blind trust) I prefer to use paperwork (contract) to not cause any confusion later down the line
