What exactly does it mean to be "militant'"?

To me it's like my step father, everything out his mouth is about race, and I mean every thing, I have no problem talking about it, in no way shape or form, maybe militant wasn't the right word but ehh...

Come on man, there's a difference between saying you don't care about a persons race, but acknowledging race issues vs waking up everyday and looking for white people to be racist and saying " See I told you so, they dont like us" everyday of the week.

For the blacks who are on the " If you aren't with us, you are against us", in some ways are no different then the racist white people you complain about, which is what you are doing in your post.

many Black people have internalized it and pretend like there is no oppression, which is doing nothing more than laying the groundwork for mental illness, because when they encounter oppression that they can't turn a blind eye to, they'll have a breakdown.

do you know what it is like time and time again to witness buffoonery and tell yourself, "nah its in my head," "nah thats just a special case," "nah I must have done something to warrant that," "nah, they didnt mean anything by that comment," "nah it just wasnt meant to be" etc etc etc. AT WHAT POINT DO I WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!!

See that thread about black literature. Some people were genuinely implying that white people are purposely not displaying or publishing 'real' books written by black authors to keep black people from educating themselves.

And even worse, the Donald Sterlings and George Zimmermans out there become more bold with their white supremacy and go out there with no fukks given. To go back to a comment I made in another thread, this is exactly why more black people should be "militant" and stop being so docile and timid when it comes to the topic of white supremacy and black empowerment.

We have police commissioners calling the President of the USA the n-word and have no apologies about it whatsoever. We have clowns like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly shytting on us on a weekly basis and making millions off of white supremacy but yet Limbaugh was coping pleas when he got backlash for calling some white college girl a whore.
