Over a year after surgery Still favor my good leg when landing after jumping ..vertical pop still not 100% there either .Calf tighter ..doesn’t have that same bend but that was done on purpose ..No pain at all though

Straight line speed is probably the best it’s ever been .Was clocked at 18.5 mph .Change of direction isn’t a problem at all either
I meant after getting the injury. I think I fukked mine up. :to:

’m scared because I fukked mine up. Not sure how bad, but I still have some pain and the bump hasn’t gotten smaller almost a week later. :sadcam:

I can still walk and twist my ankle, but if I sit a certain way with my ankle angled and get up I feel pain and limp for a bit. I can do calf raises and walk on the balls of my feet. I read people can still do this even if it’s ruptured.

I know how it happened, and when it did I wasn’t feeling pain until hours later. Im hoping it’s just a strain. Icing helps and im using a bandage on it. A few days ago I would feel pain when putting some pressure on it, so wrapping wasn’t gonna happen. If I put a lot of pressure on one spot I feel pain.

Gonna give it another week before deciding if I’ll go to UC

If you tore it you’d know it .

The universal thing is feeling like someone kicked your calf .can’t flex your foot..pain varies apparently. I didn’t feel any while other ppl did
I might have an acute tear or tendinopathy. I did a test (with help) where your calf muscle is squeezed and if the ankle reacts with movement it’s not ruptured. My ankle reacted.

Did you develop a bump above your heel and on your back ankle when you ruptured it?

Yes ,I still have it .

Only noticeable by touch now though.

I would just go if I was you. If you wait too long shyt can go left if it is torn .

I had a nurse look at my ankle and diagnosed me with a sprain had to tell her 10 times that it wasn’t a sprain ..took a doctor that was just randomly looking at X-rays to come grab me …if professionals can mess up a random home test wouldn’t cut it for me

fukk. I’m scared now. :to:

Is there a way to notice if it’s ruptured by touch? Like is there a gap or something? I’ve been feeling around and
I have a bump and the area has inflammation. I know there’s already a small bump pointing out, but my injured foot is bigger.

Idk about that. ..besides the bump I wasn’t really feeling around like that because I knew what time it was from jump ..I do remember not feeling anything at all until the doc literally torched the area of the tear and even then it was just tender..but ppl different :yeshrug: ..foot did swell and was dangling a bit. I wouldn’t base my decision from info from a coli poster

but I do remember the dr Wanting me to go under the knife quick so it wouldn’t begin healing on it’s own…because when that happens your options are limited ..I would just go have it looked at …and don’t go to any hospital..try to find a hospital that has an affiliation with a sports franchise/sports medicine specialty…..the way they handled my situation was night and day compared to the initial spot I went to

Yeah, I don’t have that luxury of looking for a “sports only” place. :shaq2:

I’m just gonna head to urgent care on Tuesday or Wednesday. It’ll be one week tomorrow that it happened. My foot/foot area isn’t numb and it’s not dangling. Just have pain if I move a certain direction or put pressure on part of the area.

Haven’t had that either. Besides the pain mentioned, it comes and goes when I’m overusing it. I’m on my feet all day at work.

I think the area felt like pulling when the injury happened; don’t think it went to the calf. And it didn’t feel like I was kicked in the calf either.
