i heard cialis be movin like crack nowadays.

go and get it my dude.

Maybe being black can be an asset. You have an IN on the older black dudes who arent comfy wit talkin wit that little nerdy white kid about his dikk not gettin up no more. :whoo:

I heard Cialis is like the hardest sales job to get because of the ease of the sales and how fast they go. Them dudes selling that shyt are fukking caking. I don't think pharma companies let entry level folks get those kind of jobs though because of the demand for them.

Yeah, which specific skills would I need. I have the sales experience, inside and outside. I hear they do hire entry level sometimes and pay can reach up close to 70, 80k range. Am I at an advantage for being med-level experience wise?

If you've worked in sales I think you've probably have an idea of what it'll be like.

He said getting to know the patients is important. Keeping up with their progress and any new drugs relevant to their conditions and what not.

He was an entry level hire. No previous experience. Just a friendly dude who had been around the reps for a while and got lucky.

He's been on both sides of that range depending of if he was selling full or part time. One of those things were there is very little that you NEED to do after the first year and a half, but the more you do, the higher commissions will be. Lot of traveling that first year.

Sales experience is always going to be a plus but keep in mind you're dealing with a different clientele. Sick children, cancer patients, very rare and debilitating diseases we haven't heard much about. Being warm is as important as being knowledgeable.

On the downside: can be pretty competitive. Backstabbing and that whole deal. Folks will try to damage your reputation to steal clients. Not sure if it's like that in other markets but he made note of that.

And, more importantly, you've gotta know your stuff. You're dealing with people's lives and unfortunately there is money to be made off of selling people product that may not be the best for their health. Don't know about numbers but some patients are definitely getting stuff that is unnecessary and costly. That's pretty low to me but that's how it works I guess.

Good luck. Hopefully we'll break into it at the same time.

I work in health care, and whenever I see pharm sales reps come in, they are ALWAYS chopping it up with the doctors (since they are the ones responsible for prescribing said meds). not individual patients. I mean that would make no sense for them to be talking to the patients.

Maybe it's just something extra he does. Of course you'd primarily talk to doctors about treatment plans. Most of our conversations about it focus on his interactions with patients. Especially ones with the less common conditions. I know there are gatherings that he attends with patients with similar diseases. It's just what makes the biggest impression with him.

Thanks bro. I have 7 years of sales experience, a majority being outside and a degree from a top public university. I hope this is all enough and if not, I'll focus on IT Sales because the salaries over there are good as well.

Go for it...my old man did it and makes money just consulting now..Works for some Japanese run pharmaceutical company in Princeton. Use to work for Lilly in Indy and he would tell me stories how cut throat it gets up there, especially for black men. Some foul shyt went down where he could've gotten $$$ if he would have taken them to court but he got a nice 6 figure severance package and said fukk it and moved back to Santo Domingo

I am looking to get into Pharma sales but from the people I have talked to, it is damn hard for a black person, especially male to get in the industry. Said they usually go after young attractive white kids. Anyone have any background on the industry?? I'm trying to get paid :noah:

dont let self hating black/c00ns stop you from your career goals
