Beside forex, what other products do you trade with on a daily basis? Also, how was your experience in the IM field all together while being Black?
IM field can mean investment managemnet or Internet MArketing. Investment Management I was pulled aside and told how far i could go due to my background and at that point i decided to find greener pastures. I wanted $150k as a salary and got $75k, I was offended and really just did WTF i wanted till i bounced. Bonuses were like 10% GOC (gross employment cost) which is trash, honestly it wasn't lambo money and I was young and felt entitled.

I have no desire to become a portfolio manager or a trader. I changed career to investment management from mortgage servicing. Even through it is stressful at times, I have no desire to leave at this moment. I'm even planning to start studying for the CFA next year. Eventually, I'm looking for more of a research role within the markets where I would feel more suited than what i'm doing now with dealing with margin calls and handling fail trades.

I didn't study investment management. I literally trade all day and theres 24 trading days per month (Mon-Fri & Sun) will excellent potential to make solid consistent money as long as you have a trading plan/strategy. Man margin calls are the worst, 2 months ago I got one for a few thousand and it ruined my wknd however I traded drunk that day :(

You must be an old head. Base for first years is now 85k. It hasn't been 60k since maybe 2008.

I work for a European bulge bracket in banking. The money is good but the work load is terrible and the people are extremely aggressive. It's a good gig to have when you're coming out of college, but I wouldn't recommend it long term. Too stressful. It should strictly be used as an opportunity to leverage into something better paying and / or more interesting.
What's better paying?

CPA is cool thats a career. CFA/CPA is def a career path if you wanna do some shyt long term. My accountant started that way and now owns an investment company, a property company, accounting firm(which doesnt really make much apparently), I think he even does payday loans or some shyt.

Research is incredibly competitive and challenging. Most companies get ex factset employees.

My current plan is to ease into the role after working with investment performance and attribution after a few years

This thread is timely. I just got an offer to do some training but its £8000 for 3 days. These guys made like $50k a day on a good day so their training is definitely worth it.

I got my stock trading account back online and i seen Oxycotin is now getting big in china (this isnt investment advice but imma look into it based on the population size).

Gonna check Nadex for binary options today.
