I know I'm usually the type that can pretty much get along with most everyone in the office regardless. And I been at my job for damn near 3 years. but ever since they brought us in a new manager, it seems like we've been butting heads constantly with her micromanaging and generally being a total nuisance. I've had like 3 bosses since I been here, and everyone has been fine. Since I work remotely, they leave me alone and I just do my thing for the most par.
But not this one. She been here less than a year and besides the annoying emails she's sending me at 10pm on saturdays and evenings the shyt that INFURIATES me the most is she doesn't have any sort of background in what we do.
I work in health care dealing with clinical analytics. But she doesn't have a technical or a clinical background (which I see as a major problem). Which means besides knowing that we have work to do, she has no clue about the type of work her staff does or what our software is used for.
Which also means, that when clients contact her about something related to our work, she cannot speak on it whatsoever. And I thought I was the only one thinking this, but I have heard from my co-workers who pretty much agree with me.
so to compensate for her lack of knowledge, she gives us busywork meetings and reports to dumb down what we're seeing on a week to week basis. and the kicker was on my last performance review, she wants us to meet certain goals, but they don't have a feasible way of tracking if I met them. It's up to me to determine this
