90's shyt, ltj, goldie, type stuff is cool, but it can be a lil too busy for me. i can do about 10-20 min of that shyt in a dj set, then im good. going a a jungle/dnb event is too much for me. but i know some folks that be on that DNB/jungle shyt religiously to this day. mufukas going to warehouse raves every other week. :damn:

Not anymore, but this one of my favorite DNB mixes from back in the day. I preferred Jungle when I was into that sound. DNB took the the soul out of Jungle and whitened it up for mainstream consumption.

There's been a resurgence in the older sounds over the past 5 years. Some off it decent, some off it comes a pretentious hipster "Intelligent Jungle' nonsense. But overall some decent stuff, and it's good to see younger folks get into the older sounds.

Also prefer jungle. Goin to see bukem and roni size next month though. Not even sure how much I like drum and bass these days but they should tear it down and bring back some memories

Never liked that 'technical' or whatever, drum n bass, that plodding, tick tick tick type stuff.. Boring as hell. Give me the bashy war ready shyt

I’m somewhat of a dance music head so in my mind this fits into that mold. I dabbled but haven’t followed it and tbh I prefer Garage which comes from D&B and mixes House and Jungle.

Yeah.

I love D&B. One of my fave popular music genres. It's one of the few Dance/Electronica genres that I like. The 90s and most of the Naughties, D&B was at its finest. Many Playstation games had D&B on their soundtrack. :wow:
Even on games that you wouldn't expect. E.g. Legend of Legaia, A fantasy game. You'd expect some pseudo-medieval European songs but instead, you get that, some different types of musical influences from all over the world and some great Dance/Electronica music and IMO, one of the best Video Game soundtracks (Seriously, listen to Legaia OST - Dance Contest first round/Watch Noa Dance. It's so good)

Legend of Legaia OST 28 - Boss Battle Theme.

Legend of Legaia OST - Battle Theme ( Both versions ) Extended 1 hour

Brazil has a huge D&B scene (sometimes called Sambass)

Ramilson Maia - A Busca da Vida

Brasil Sambass [Brazilian Drum´n´Bass][ Vol 4]

I like the predecessor genre of Jungle/D&B - Breakbeat hardcore (also referred to as hardcore rave, oldskool hardcore or simply hardcore):
