Do Y'all know something about AMD that's gonna make it shoot up???
The fact its going toe to toe with intel (which trades at $50+) tells u its worth not including the data and innovations they are coming with. We all thought AMD was dead after intel been killing the game a few years ago but AMD came back and said nope. Dunno about it surpassing intel but its definitely more then where its at by alot

The share price hasn't caught up yet, but tech wise, it has surpassed Intel this year. Intel is having too many problem in house, while AMD's roadmap is clearly laid Over the next few years, revenue and stock price will start to reflect that.
Nvidia is next up in the GPU realm. Its said that Nvidia is far a head of what AMD can produce at the super high in spectrum of the GPU market, but AMD is running neck and neck with NV on the lower to medium end GPU.
When NV stock price stabilized above $20 per share, it quickly rose (a lil over 2 yrs) to well over $200 per share ($280 now). Many think that AMD is on a similar path.
As AMD capture more and more market share and each percentage point of market share becomes more value, AMD is due to reap massive profits.
I think by the end of 2020 AMD will be a $200 stock.
When real AI and VR really start to take off, the sky is the limit for AMD and any other major semiconductor company sitting hanging around.
I read an article the other day that said that the company thats 1st in AI will be the strongest and richest company EVER.
AMD will part of this one way, or another, so hold tight, and hold long.

gpus? lol, that died when mining basically did. Nvidia was always a power house in gpu's, AMD gpu's are lacking in the enterprise (Ai, Machine learning, Data etc)
AMD is killing because what they are doing on a enterprise level (Eypc cpu's) and consumer level (threadripper, ryzen). It has zero to do with their gpu's. They are expecting to grab a huge market share in Database with cheaper servers w/ higher performance per dollar than Intel. Which is their number 1 driving force.
Happy to at least see you are posting your reasoning for buying - suggesting others to buy, everyone else hasn't really mentioned much about the company they are putting resources in.

Where did You hear that GPUs were dead? GPU's are a BIG deal in VR, Date Centers, and other things.

I'm a hardware/PC/server maniac I knowNvidia has everything in the AI/machine learning/deep learning/cuda cores that you'll need and many businesses using it for data, virtualization etc
AMD has cheap affordable now competitive products in enterprise and consumer market.
Intel is in trouble because they are losing market share in enterprise and consumer market. That's why by 2020, they are hoping to come out with their own Graphic card probably to fight Nvidia in the database, server side oppose to gaming. Nobody gives a fukk about gaming compared to what they are able to profit in enterprise.
I've owned this stock since 2011-2012

my grandfather bought me AMD stock when i was a kid and i've held onto it all these years since it was trash for most of my life. 
so glad it's finally back on the come up.
