Anyone know a free app/program to convert mkv to mp4 or something for mac?

trying to convert files. I tried a few free converters, but the quality of the mp4 really turns to shyt. what do ya'll use? I usually use MKV2VOB, but for some reason, it won't convert these this furious 7 mkv that I downloaded.

I needed a program that works on mac. I put the videos on PS3.

Just use PS3 media server...transcodes the media on the fly instead of having to do all that converting crap
