This........

We get all 4 seasons, pretty safe from natural disasters. Are there nicer states in the country, absolutely. Cleveland is always home to me.

So is Cleveland as depressing as people say, or is that an exaggeration?

Honestly the city is what you make it. I've lived here my whole life, have traveled all over the USA from Los Angeles to Miami, Florida, loved those places, very scenic and the weather is damn near perfect. Cleveland is not bad at all, they are doing great things around the city to build it up. The Cavs, Indians, and Browns keep us sports fans going with the ups and downs, job market is okay, crazy amount of places to eat around here, and cost of living is not very expensive. The weather sucks, we deal with it. Winters can be harsh or light.

Born and raised in Dayton. Currently living in Centerville, which is the southern part of the Dayton metro area.

Dayton is pretty much like most mid sized cities. You have *good* parts (Oakwood, Centerville) and “bad” parts (West side, east side].

If you are into the night life, there are some good places in Dayton to go. The Oregon District is a historic district on 5th street downtown that has shops, bars, and some restaurants. Columbus and Cincinnati are better fits for activities because there are bigger cities and therefore have more opportunities. Columbus would be your best bet because it’s the state capital and it’s constantly growing.

Oh ok thanks. Does Dayton have a sizable enough black population?

What is the usual rent prices for a 1 bedroom apartment?

@UpAndComing did you end up going to Dayton. If so, how was it?

I forgot I made this thread :dead:

I already was living in Toledo Ohio at the time, so Dayton just seemed similar to me. Visited Dayton alot of times though. I didn't end up moving there
Decent city with great cheap cost of living, would recommend it to anyone
