A couple dudes I went to school with played in the NFL. Not gonna say I knew him, but chopped it up with an ex heavyweight champ while we both were getting haircuts.

I grew up playing with a couple kids that made MLS, that’s it. One did a little European bid too. They loved the practice/work part of the game more than anybody in any sport i know. I just loved to play. In the long run that ended up being the difference because I was better than them up until about 15 or 16.

I have former students who made it to the college level tho (football)…D1 in some cases
these cats be big in high school but that next level is a huge step up and they only be playing in a handful of games and barely get any playing time

I knew of Devonte Adams before he went to Fresno. Went to a game where he was playing vs my old school. And ended up showing up at a college party I was at after. He also ended up being teammates with one of my classmate I was acquainted with back in HS, Rashad Evans.
DJ Gomes-this dude. lol. Use to talk mad shyt. nikka use to try to little homie me because I was skinny, and freshman. Once he found out i was african, all the Akon and Root's jokes came out.
So I always countered and talked about his feminine ways and how he looked like Flava Flav(he didn't but it hurt his feelings). Yup, that was basically as far as our dynamic for those years. I also beat him in slap boxing sophomore year when he had 25+ pounds on me with a reach advantage. 
on some real shyt though, everyone at our school thought that Rashad was for sure NFL bound. I didn't think Gomes was going to end up being....good.
when I was a young teen, my uncle lived 5 houses from Charles Woodson. I eventually got a picture with him after hoping to catch him outside his yard. one of his younger relatives showed up at a function my uncle was hosting at his place

The Bennett’s of Seahawks and Patriots fame went to Hastings next door to us so I knew of them. Tony (can’t remember his last name) was in my class in Elsik and won a Super Bowl as a backup on the Steelers.
