Anyone know the difference between the 2015 and 2016 Fire TVs?

I don't think they have released a 2016 version(i may be wrong)
I remember people complaining that the 2015 version removed the optical port and surround sound wasn't working through hdmi
They might've fixed that though,idk
I googled and could only find this comparison between the 2014 and 2015 models

Do NOT get the 2015 version for that price. You can easily find a 2016 version for that price right now at Staples or searching through Slickdeals.
I have two of the 2016 and one 2015. They upped the specs between versions (including adding 4k) and the performance is noticeably better in the new version. Scrolling through the main menus and in certain apps is much smoother. I'm eventually going to replace the 2015 as it feels much slower when going back to it from the new one.
Edit: some of those issues in the article linked a few posts up may not be issues for you (I find the new remote design better than the old one) and others are outdated (like now you can now pin your favorite apps).

This 2015 I'm looking at does have 4K.

I may be getting the release years confused. If it's the second gen with 4k, that's the right one to get.
