i feel you, when i listen to big all the tracks i bump have features, notorius thugs, mo money, love the dough, etc. biggie is a bit much on his own and i didnt like the r2D flow i prefered the more polished LAD. Outside junior maffia, brooklyn, maffioso love ... i couldnt really get a picture of biggie reminds me of some clown ludacris bars where just rap to rap, even though biggie is one of the best pound for pound MC's ever, his music just does not sit all that well with me. prefer dmx's music by a long shot, and x aint in my top 10.
if not for badboy and puff, i think big would have been a dope but gold selling artist. he needed the gloss.
Biggie in my top 10, would be higher if had more material.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but Biggie is the best of all time to me. His music is timeless and I'm still in awe and amazed at how great his rhymes, flow, delivery, voice, songs and albums were. He made timeless music and to me, nobody has surpassed his level of artistry in Hip Hop. Nobody comes close IMO.
