Ha! A system is usually out at least a year before I get it. Last system I bought brand new at full price was the orig b/w Gameboy. It was nice bein 13 with nothing else to spend on.
Anyone NOT Planning to get a System at Launch?

yeah and on top of not having to worry about system issues or failures at launch, companies are guaranteed to drop a new model with better specs/options within a few years of initial launch.
and while some of these next gen games are looking

I'll probably wait a year until everything is smoothed out. No hurry for me, I got plenty of games I need to beat on PS3 still.

Yeah we all know that the hype will be at an all time high come holiday seasoning right away and it seems like most of y'all is gonna be getting someth, but I don't think I'll be getting a next gen system for at least a year until after they come out. It's not that I'm broke and can't afford them, but there is still so much piff to be had from this generationmy backlog is lookin
I'm not a "hardcore" gamer in the sense that I will pick up a game and beat it within a week or two, but I'm also not what you would call a casual gamer either.
I'm a playstation head with PS+and I've been
real good since I've had it so maybe that is factoring into my decision to hold off. Plus we still have GTA5, Beyond 2 Souls, and the Last of Us to keep us fed. Anyone else feelin like this or am I in the minority?

I still have Plenty of Piff to Play and don't Intend on letting it all go to Secondary Waste. Arkham Origins, GTA 5, TMNT: Out Of The Shadows, Splinter Cell: Black List, Watch Dogs, and I'm sure there's more that I've forgotten. I also Trust that The 360 isn't just going to go un-fed with more Games next year but until then, I'm taking my Sweet Ass Time on getting a new System..One or 4?
so true. I would only cop a PS4 for 2k14. Shiiiiiit I barely got time as it is. The PS2 got San Andreas on it 1/2 finished, and Kingdom Hearts just barely started 
The PS3 I got all the uncharteds, all the God Wars, Red Dead Redemption. GTAIV etc just sititng there unopened.

I hardly doubt it. I mean unless there were like very limited amounts made, ya i could see it happening. But i don't think people will be ready to go rush out and buy PS4/Xbox 1.
I'm sure there are millions of other people thinking like you, oh if i buy 1 and sell it at launch i can flip it. Those days are over.

Yet to be seen about the XBOX One. They haven't sold out Day 1 anywhere yet.
i was going to but seeing more and more games the graphics dont seem that much better YET. I wouldnt mind copping a system and flipping it though, but ill wait and see. Only games I really care about is sports games, im buying ncaa 2014 on ps3 so we shall see

Yeah its best to wait for the system thats clear of all the bugs. It will take time for some great games to come out that really take advantage of the system too and obviously the price drop. The Xbox One might also turn out to be a better system in terms of gameplay so why not wait and see which console plays better.
I'm not getting a system at launch. just got my ps3 a few months back. my brother had one but i never used it. wasn't much of a gamer. my Wii was collecting dust until i learned how to eat off it and even still i haven't touched it since i got the ps3. god knows what my brother did with our old 360. i would cop for a flip but after making no profit on the ps3 launch and just selling to my boy so he can return his smaller hard drive one, i have no plans of trying that again. i did flip a Wii at launch but i think the demand was higher for those.
