What's the word on Jaguar (reliability, parts/maintenance costs, etc.) in general?

And what do you guys think of the new XE that is coming to the states in a few months?

New Jaguars are very reliable, and the new XE is supposedly a game changer. They designed it to be superior to the 3 series in every way. But we'll see.

At a certified Jagaur dealership :deadrose:

:lupe: would u still take that risk?He plans on paying straight cash for the car and buying a warranty.Wonder if they have a warranty to cover everything
Tell your brother to stay away from 09-11....2012 That's when they started to work the bugs out of them..As far as a extended warranty..I didn't get one.My car has about 30,000 miles on it and was quoted about $3100 to extend the 40,000 mile warranty to 100,000 miles..Now why I haven't had any issue's with it for the short period of time.I've owned it..I know parts and labor are through the roof..Hell I may still put a warranty on it for piece of mind..

You never see this on the road anymore. These were rolling headaches.

You're right.Thats when Ford owned Jaguar..They have really come a long way..Believe me I never thought I'd ever buy a Jaguar until the newer XF's and XJ's came out...Now that TaTa owns it..I live in Atlanta where you see a Bmw or Mercedes every block..Jaguars not so much, plus the interior on these cars will
Have a man thinking he's a King..The reliability of the
brand isn't much different than
Mercedes,Bmw,Audi,etc....Most of the issues your going to have with these brands are the electrical systems..There basically rolling computers now..Ask anyone with a BMW about some of the issues those cars have...

For real I've been trying to talk him out of goin bmw and benz because I know they can eat your money.Been trying to get him towards lincoln mks, caddy xts,lex gs route.
Breh I own a Navigator also....while it's cheaper to repair a Lincoln or a Cadillac, than it is these foreign cars. It's still going to cost you on the upkeep of these cars..What I recommend is having a lil beater car you drive during the week and pull the foreign whip out on weekends..that way you'll keep the miles lower on it..basically the less you drive it hopefully the less issues you'll have with it.Hell it's like a game of High Stakes Poker..It's going to cost you to sit at at the table with the big dogs..If you want a safe reliable car buy a Toyota or a Honda....These luxury cars cost to maintain them...It is what it is...

He does plan on keeping his current car so I guess getting this car wont be a terrible idea
